MASTER IN DEVELOPMENTS STUDIES

Program Objectives: There is an acute need to equip the prospective planners and development experts with the knowledge and skill to understand and recognize the development purpose and paradigm shifts that regulated the development strategies in the past and would be needed to address current and future developments issues. Planning is a powerful instrument for change and development. The socio-econimcs, scientific and technological development is the concern of every developing country. But the ultimate aim of these concerns is to eleminate peverty of people and ensure that basic facilities of education., health and social welfare reach the deprived population of the country equality.
The Master's degree program in Development Studies covers almost all these paradigm shifts and takes into consideration the role of both public and private sectors, thereby ensuring an integrated approach to the development perspectives.

Entry Requirements: MA/M.Sc or BA/B.Sc 2nd division preperably with Economics & Statistics
