M.S / M.Phil in Education

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO MS/M.PHIL LEADING TO Ph.D. IN EDUCATION

Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in first division or equivalent from a recognized institution or equivalent in case of master’s from foreign universities.
OR

BS (4 years degree) with 3 years of teaching/research experience in university/post graduate institutions/national or international professional institution.
OR

MS/M.Phil (18 years schooling) in the relevant subject from HEC recognized university or foreign university after getting equivalence from the HEC.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRANSFER TO Ph.D.
Candidates who are interested to be admitted into the Ph.D. program of the Abasyn University shall be required to:

Give their willingness and apply for their candidacy for Ph.D.
Hold GPA 03 throughout the MS/M.Phil in all 30 Credit Hours Course Work and Project/Thesis.
Passes subject GRE international test or locally developed subject GRE.

Exhibit an excellent performance in the subject at the time of defence of his proposal before a select committee.

There will be minimum of 18 Credit Hours course work and courses of not more than 09 credit hours will be offered in one semester from the list of curses in B-2 and B-43, which were not already selected for MS/M.Phil course work.. There will be two semesters (Fall and Spring) but in special cases students may register for their research work in summer semester.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR CONFERMENT OF Ph.D. DEGREES
The conferment of Ph.D. degrees will require passing candidacy and comprehensive examinations and the final oral examination for the defence of the project/thesis of 06 credit hours before the thesis committee and the clearance of the thesis from two experts from technological advanced countries.
