It is very satisfying to learn that Abasyn University is moving swiftly towards achievement of its goal, sharing the responsibility to promote quality education and research.

On its part the government is committed to create conditions where the private sector can play a significant role in spreading education in the country. There is growing realization that human resource development is the most powerful instrument for promoting economic uplift of nations in modern times. It is encouraging to see that an organization like Abasyn University along with others has also started playing a commendable role in this regard.

However, in spite of substantial investment made by the government education sector, the private sector still needs to take commensurate steps to check the deteriorating standards of education. I would, therefore, emphasize that there should be no compromise on quality of education at any cost. We have to focus full attention on taking all necessary measures for bringing about the required improvement. I also desire that emphasis be placed on research and development in the universities and institutions providing higher education in order to ensure their continuous development.

I extend my appreciation to the University Management for their commitment to quality education and wish them best of luck in their future endeavors.
